In the event that Absolute Reg are bound by a duty of obligation to third parties in order to complete a business transaction, customers will remain fully informed of the process and provided with all required disclaimers before any sale is agreed-upon.
During the course of any transaction, customers will remain updated on the progress of their order and will be informed the moment anything new occurs in the process. All customers will be provided with genuine timescales for the fulfilment of their transactions from the start of the process.

As a member of MIRAD (the Institute of Registration Agents and Dealers), we are regularly monitored by various registration groups, as well as the DVLA, and are therefore obliged to comply with tight and fair rules regarding the sale of personalised number plates in a manner that is fair, efficient, fast, affordable and reliable.
At Absolute Reg, we know that working with customers with integrity and respect, and making them aware of their value to us, leads to a long and fruitful business relationship founded on mutual trust. We strive for complete honesty and transparency in regard to our products and services, which we would never misrepresent on purpose. Any information given to us by customers will remain safeguarded at all time in keeping with relevant government laws and statutes. In addition, we always aim to keep costs down without compromising on the quality of the goods or services we provide – we will not, for instance, charge more for an order place via telephone, or increase the rate for advice rendered over the phone.
If you buy number plates with us, you can rest assured that you’re getting a private plate which is entirely suitable for you and your vehicle. We operate a stringent policy that ensures all recommendations are made only after the customer’s every requirement is first taken into account, whether online or by telephone.
In the event that a transaction cannot be completed in full and the buyer is not at fault, the customer will receive a full and immediate refund. A number of situations do exist that negate the customer’s right to exit a contract under Regulation 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations, but all customers will always be made aware of this before any agreements are put in place. We will, of course, make every effort to allow for cancellations where possible, as far as governmental procedure will permit.
In the course of the selling process, full payment will be collected from buyers as deposit before documents are passed on to the DVLA and transactions are completed. Once the DVLA confirms that plate transfer is successful, funds are released to the seller. The identities of buyers and sellers in every transaction cannot be made known in keeping with the Data Protection Act, though we must always submit to requests made by the police in their efforts to maintain the law.
Complaints Handling Procedure
Our customer service providers are on hand to answer any questions you might have, and we always aim to respond to form submissions within 24 hours. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing by you or a nominated third party.
Target response times
At Absolute Reg we aim to respond with acknowledgement to all written complaints within 24 hours of receipt, and will respond in full to all complaints within a 10-day period. If a complete response cannot be issued within 10 days, customers will be kept up to date on progress every 10 days until a resolution is reached.
Our response will include: internal investigation outcome; actions taken to rectify the problem and further improve upon our customer service; any refund or compensation or refund available. If a complaint cannot be resolved to the full satisfaction of the customer, an independent arbitrator may be employed to assist in the matter, at our discretion.
